Poble Espanyol - Hivernacle

This venue was supposed to be an ephemeral architectural exhibit for the 1929 International Exhibition in Barcelona, but it became an emblematic place in the city thanks to the success.

It is the dream of any capital: to enjoy the tranquility of a small village.  Just a footstep away from the central Plaza de España and surrounded by the greenness of Montjuïc hill. All Spain in 49,000 m2 and 117 full-size buildings: from the “A” of Avila to the “Z” of Zamora, this museum of Spain’s local architecture recreates in the fresh air and sunshine the country’s allways, squares and gardens.

The building is a temporary structure of more than 1,350m2, totally diaphanous and with 5 meters high. Set in a greenhouse style, Hivernacle offers a large transparent pavilion that allows to celebrate all kinds of large-scale events in an unbeatable environment.
